Private China Tours from Saudi Arabia (2026 Guide)
Since 2025, Saudi citizens can visit China without a visa, and more Saudi families are discovering it as a winter and holiday destination. A private trip means your own car, your own guide who speaks Arabic, and a pace that suits your family.
Visa: easier than ever
- Saudi passports: visa-free for up to 30 days per visit. China introduced this in June 2025 and, as reported, extended it to 31 December 2026.
- The same applies to Kuwait, Oman and Bahrain, while Qatar and the UAE have mutual visa-free agreements.
- Rules change, so we check the latest official rules for every booking. Full details in our China visa guide.
Getting there from Riyadh, Jeddah and Dammam
- Direct flights link Riyadh and Jeddah with Guangzhou, and new routes to other Chinese cities have been added in recent years.
- One stop via Dubai, Abu Dhabi or Doha opens up Beijing and Shanghai with short connections.
- Guangzhou is a great first stop for shopping and the south; Beijing is the classic start for a first trip.
Routes Saudi families love
- Classic China, 7 to 10 days: Beijing, Xi'an and Shanghai. Add Zhangjiajie or Guilin for mountains and rivers.
- Snow and winter, December to February: the snowy Great Wall in Beijing and ski or ice trips in the north.
- Pandas and food, 5 days: Chengdu and Chongqing.
- Cool summer escape, 8 days: Yunnan, where summer days stay mild under the snow mountains.
- Shopping and city break: Guangzhou and Shanghai.
Travelling as a family
- Your own car and driver all trip, with space for the whole family and luggage.
- Licensed guides who speak Arabic (or English), so grandparents and children feel at home.
- Family rooms and connecting rooms from our hotel list.
- Meals planned for you, with halal restaurants and prayer times built into each day on request.
- Slow days when you need them: we keep the pace comfortable for young children and older travellers. See China with kids.
When to go
Spring (March to May) and autumn (September to November) suit most routes. Winter is perfect if your family wants snow. Avoid Chinese New Year and the 1 to 7 October Golden Week when Chinese families travel. More in the best time to visit China.
